This is a location that some of you visit frequently and others have yet to discover. We will get an early start before it gets hot and should be off the trail before noon. Seven Islands was a wonderful place before it became a state park to see birds, deer, turtles, frogs etc. They are still there but there are more visitors to the area now. They have added a bridge to the islands and made the area more accessible to visitors.
No need to get in the bear mode, as there are no bears. Coyote and fox are possible but they will be gone before you get your camera aimed on them.
Description: What will you see. Flowers as you enter the area. Birds as we explore the area with deer watching us from their hiding places. We should find a few frogs and dragonflies. Turtles may be harder to find. There should be a lot of options for you to photograph.
Learning opportunities:
You may want you macro lens and your long lens. You will have several options to explore and play with your camera. Tripod suggested but not required.
What to wear: It is July. Dress comfortable. Be prepared for rain. Bring bug spray. There may be some muddy places we will walk around or through.
What to bring: Camera, Tripod, Water, Snacks
Walking required: The amount of walking you do will be vary and be up to you. We will follow some of the trails. Which ones, I will decide when I get there. There will be some climbing on some but most will be able to do those. Bring water because you may get thirsty as we will be out in the open for most of the time we are there.
