Are you ready for wildlife and wildflowers?  We will meet at the gathering spot by the creek on Sparks Lane to venture out in Cades Cove in groups in search of turkeys, birds, deer, and maybe some bears.  You may have seen the reports of a mom and four littles in the Cove.  They were relocated from Gatlinburg which is why it may be a bit early for the rest of the moms and littles.  We hope by this event, there will be more.

There should be birds to see, both large and small, deer, and more as well.  Of course, you can always photograph structures and landscapes too.  We will have the opportunity to go out of the Cove via Rich Mountain Road as well.  You should bring anything from telephoto lenses, macro lenses,  as well as standard and/or wide angle for landscapes.  You should pack something to drink, lunch, and snacks, as well as sunscreen and bug spray.  A collapsable chair is a good option too.

We encourage participants to car pool (IGA in Townsend is a good meeting spot to do so), and we can divide up in groups to explore once we meet in the cove to help alleviate traffic back ups.
