On Thursday, January 8, 2025, we will meet at the Hiwassee Wildlife Refuge observation deck at 2 p.m. to observe and photograph Sandhill Cranes and any other birds that may make an appearance that day.  This is two days before the festival so it should be prime viewing time.  If you are interested in attending the festival, we can send you information about that as well, and we may schedule a follow up field event during the festival if some plans to attend and can host.
