  • SANP members and non-members are welcome to register.
Registration is closed

For the early birds wanting to view the Elk at Oconoluftee, we will meet at the Visitor's Center at Oconoluftee at 7:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 2, 2025 to view the Elk in the fields and river hopefully.  After the Elk go for their morning naps, we can explore Mingus Mills, Mingo Falls, and for those wanting to explore further Soco Falls.  

P.S. We are exploring whether someone can lead a Saturday morning 10/04 event to duplicate this one.  If you can do so, please reach out to Cindy or Kelli.
