We will meet at a pulloff (directions to be provided for registrants) along Hwy 129 Chilhowee Lake at 8:00 a.m.  to drive Hwy 129 the Dragon into North Carolina.  We will photograph the Cheoah Dam and continue on 129 to Yellow Creek Falls to photograph the waterfalls.  Around 11 am we will gather along Hwy 129 at the pull off for Bear Creek Falls.  Cheoah will release that morning for kayakers, and these rapids are Class IV with great roadside locations to photograph them.  After approximately 1 hour, we will go to Tapoco Lodge for lunch.  After lunch, there are other opportunities you can explore - Santeetlah Lake,  Joyce Kilmer Forest Rd., Maple Springs Observation Deck , Cherohala Skyway, Indian Boundary Lake, and Bald River Falls if you want to take the long way home.  If you want to return via the Dragon, you can take a detour to Fontana Dam if you have time or return to Knoxville after lunch to watch the Tennessee Alabama Football game - game time is still TBA.  We will have a more details as we get closer to the event.
