Three for the Price of One -

On Thursday June 26, 2025, we plan to meet at 1:00 p.m. a location near the entrance to Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail ( East of downtown Gatlinburg) for a tour of the road.  We plan to stop for Turk's Cap Lilies and then downstream for shooting the water - with the Rosebay Rhodendendron blooming (we hope) as well as the cabins and mill in that area.  Then, we will travel to Kuwhoi for a picnic dinner (bring your own) and sunset photos.  If you are adventurous enough, we plan to stay for the Milky Way which should be rising shortly after 10:00 p.m.  With the moon setting around 11:30 p.m., the best visibility will likely be at midnight or thereafter.  Let's hope for clouds while we are at Roaring Fork,  a good mixture of clouds with sun for sunset, then clearing skies for the Milky Way.

You can choose parts of the event - for which we will have to figure out the registration part for that - our plan is to leave the Kuwhoi part open and not limit participants (unless there is an untenable number) and limit the number for the Roaring Fork part.
