SANP's July Speaker is Clay Thurston.     Clay is a nature and wildlife photographer. Clay has patiently observed birds and other wildlife in their natural habitat all of his life. The fine expertise shown in his photography captures their beauty, quirks, and behaviors so others can get a glimpse of the world he has experienced first-hand.

Nature in the rough has been Clay’s chosen field of study in all fifty states as well as several other foreign lands. He has been capturing wildlife and nature on film for more than thirty years and digitally since 2005. The quality you see in his photos comes from using good equipment, but more importantly, from learned skills, a good eye, and immeasurable patience. www.claythurston.com

Clay is a charter member of SANP. He is a regular participant in the SANP Salon.  Clay is the gold standard when it comes to print entries in the Salon.  During this presentation you may discover that Clay may suggest some tips and information that will help you develop a better print entry for the Salon.

Clay knows what is required to win in the Salon. You know you have done a good job when you beat Clay in a print category because his images are always first-class.  There is another aspect of photography that Clay has a good grasp of, and that is knowing what appeals to the consumers who buy prints. If you attend this presentation, you may learn what makes a photograph appealing to the consumers who attend festivals and craft exhibits that will purchase a print.

You will not want to miss out on this presentation.

See you at our July Club meeting. Remember to arrive early and socialize with other club members. If you need something to talk about, you can tell the Nikon photographers about the new Canon Cameras that are number one in the world.

See you at our Club Meeting
