Leader: Dale Potter    Phone:  (865)-773-8114      E-mail: dalepotter55@gmail.com

Meeting place:UT Gardens

Registration available:  Beginning today

Description: Dragon flies are out. Have you tried photographing them. This should give you a good chance to try out various lenses.  For information about photographing dragon flies read more here.  You may want to check out some other information about Dragon Fly photography. If you know of other locations that are great for turtles, frogs, dragon flies, and other crawling creatures, send me an email. While the original intent was to go to Ijams and it is true they have dragonflies the photography would not have been great.

The new location is UT Gardens.  We will meet in the parking lot at 7:00 am.  There will be dragonflies, bees, lots for flowers, and other interesting stuff to photograph.

Come prepared to get more misses than hits on the dragonflies but it is fun trying.

Learning opportunities:

This is a good location to work on your technique using macro, zoom, or whatever lens you prefer. You will have several options to explore and play with your camera. Tripod suggested and a remote shutter release.

What to wear:  It is July. Dress comfortable. Sunscreen, hat maybe helpful.

What to bring:  Camera, Tripod, Remote Shutter Release, water, snacks and whatever you need to be comfortable photographing around the ponds and short walks.

Walking required: The amount of walking you do will be entirely up to you and how much exploring you want to do.

How to find me:  Red Jeep Wrangler
