Have you ever heard the term fishing in a barrel?  Well we may be photographing while the Osprey are fishing in a barrel.  Fort Loudon Dam is a perfect place to capture Osprey, Great Blue Herons, and possibly a Bald Eagle or other types of Herons fishing below the dam.  You can bring a chair and set up on the flat concrete or decide to hike down the rip rap for a closer view.  Bring a towel, something to sit on (chair or cushion), and check your settings for birds in flight.  This is one of the best places to practice.  Depending on the action, some may gather for a meal after shooting at Calhoun's or another nearby restaurant in Lenoir City.
