About SANPSANP is a non-profit educational organization dedicated to photography of the natural environment. Our motto is "Sharing the Awareness of Nature through Photography." Founded in 1991, SANP is based in East Tennessee's Knoxville/Oak Ridge area, which is rich in natural beauty. Photo opportunities include the Great Smoky, Cumberland, and Blue Ridge Mountains, pastoral valleys, and numerous lakes rivers and streams.
We have regular meetings on the last Tuesday of each month except December, when we take a break for the holidays. Our meetings feature presentations by highly skilled nature photographers from our region, some of whom are members of our club, as well as nationally known artists from across the country. Club members have the opportunity to participate in field events throughout the year. Occasional seminars are also offered. Our annual Salon is in February, during which we display print entries, show digital entries, and award hundreds of dollars in door prizes to attendees.
