About SANP

SANP is a non-profit educational organization dedicated to photography of the natural environment. Our motto is "Sharing the Awareness of Nature through Photography."

Founded in 1991, SANP is based in Knoxville, Tennessee – an area rich in natural beauty. Photo opportunities include the Great Smoky, Cumberland, and Blue Ridge Mountains, pastoral valleys, and numerous lakes rivers and streams. We have nine meetings a year, held the last Tuesday of the month. We do not meet in December or in June and July.

Our meetings feature presentations by highly skilled nature photographers from our region as well as nationally known artists from across the country. Club members have the opportunity to participate in field trips throughout the year. Occasional seminars are also offered. Our annual Salon is in February during which we display print entries, show digital entries, and award hundreds of dollars in door prizes to attendees.

Club Administration

The SANP Board of Directors consists of nine elected members. Each year, three new members are elected for a service period of three years. The Board appoints the President, Secretary, and Treasurer. The Board meets as needed to handle the business of the club.
